Take Time to Rest
/When was the last time you felt refreshed from deep within your Soul?
There’s a magic that happens when we take time to rest. It gives us space to breathe, to process, and to integrate. It allows us to build the capacity to allow more energy to flow through us. And in rest is when we are able to hear the small, still voice of our Spirit whispering dreams to us. We learn to listen when we’re resting, and what we learn can change the course of our lives.
I’m not sure why our culture struggles to rest. It seems like “busy” is worn as a badge of honor . . . and yet all of the rushing around can leave us in a state of confusion and bewilderment.
Not taking the time and space to just BE comes at a high price - an estrangement from who we are.
And with that, I’m going to end this blog post because I, too, need to take rest. My body and Spirit have been inviting me to rest all week, with symptoms like fatigue, burnout, insomnia, and irritability. Oh, and the fabulous salty, crunchy food cravings—as if I needed another reason to eat corn chips and guacamole!
